Talaria (Sting & R) Battery 60v 3900Wh 65Ah Trail V2 Long Range 12KW
This battery is designed to run on the Talaria Sting and “R” bikes as a direct swap in battery, increasing the range over 200%, but must be used with an aftermarket controller.
Can be used with an ASI BAC4000, ASI BAC8000, VTB, EBMX X-9000 or Torp controller (and any other 60v capable controller). This will give you a safe and genuine fast bike that will give heaps of range and fun. This battery is very similar in design to its fast brother (the 72v Race Battery) but uses a different cell and different configuration to give it maximum range without being crazy tall.
Power
The battery can handle much higher power for short periods.
Must be used with an aftermarket Controller.
The recommended maximum settings are: 180A. DC Phase 440PhA and 11000W.
Exoskeleton /Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out.
Connectors
For the main battery to controller connector we use the same type of plug as used by Talaria. We use one set of discharge cable using 8 AWG cable via a Talaria OEM connector to the OEM loom via circuit breaker.
Domestic Electrics
This means all your bike accessories are still powered. Some believe that not using the circuit breaker direct to the controller removes the safety of the circuit breaker. However, all our batteries have a full working BMS. Any power shorts or irregular current and the BMS shuts down. This is much more sensitive and accurate than a mechanical breaker (you may note that the Sur Ron Ultra Bee does not use a circuit breaker and relies on the BMS alone).
Battery Compartment Lids or Lifting Kits
Because of the slightly extra battery height (353mm) minor modification will needed to your bike.
There are several options:
#1 Fit an aftermarket battery compartment lid found here: https://electroncycles.com/product/talaria-battery-compartment-injection-moulded-battery-lid-to-fit-taller-batteries-not-3d-printed/
#2 Remove the battery plastic base tray in the bike (simply remove the 5 small allen key bolts from the top looking down) and fit our 5mm spacer between the metal battery lid catch and the lid (spacers provided)

Connecting To Bike
When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark, turn the red trip switch on the bike to off. Connect the older original power cable and then turn the red trip to on. Then connect the new power leads. Removing the battery has no special order.
Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a “Connection Spark”. The battery needs a “Balance Charge” on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.
