This is the ultimate Sur Ron battery of its height. We wanted to make a slightly more cost effective battery with almost identical performance to its predecessor, but with a substantial cost saving of around £500 GBP. This Sur Ron battery is only surpassed by The ZEUS and is a truly incredible piece of engineering.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs technological advances evolve, we try to keep pace and the new EWE 50PL has even lower internal resistance than the class leading Molicel p50b but with a much lower price tag. The only down size, is the battery needs to be charged at least once a month if not being used.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe build list is like a dream: EVE 50 pl ultra low resistance cells with huge 5Mah capacity. These are the very best cells on the market in the majority of performance and only equalled in some areas by the  illusive and more expensive Molicel p50b.  The battery is made with pure copper sheet connections. All have internal resistance. The more resistance, the more heat they produce, until they start to damage. The EVE 50Pl is classed as one of the worlds premier cells for low resistance at 12.18 mOhm for a high power density (Ah). So with this low resistance, they are able to supply enormous amounts of power without over heating.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere has been scaremongering in some of the FB groups about these cells. The very first batch of the EVE50PL “Grade B” preproduction cells were found to be unstable and suffered extreme self discharge, where cells would drop voltage while being unused at a much higher or extreme rate compared to most other cells. Those cells are considered dangerous and should not be used.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cells we use, are the very sought after Grade A” cells that cope with huge power demands, an extremly briliant cell. They do however have a slightly greater discharge rate to your average low performance cell, but as these are so powerefull the trade off is that a battery needs to be topped very 3 to 6 months if not being used. Super tough and powder coated inside and out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eConnectors\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe main Sur Ron Battery to controller connectors we use are two QS8 connectors with 6 AWG going direct to the controller and a second smaller 8 AWG with a free high power loom that goes via the red trip (we use the smaller cable on the second set so if you require, we can still use the OEM Supra D6 if preferred), but we use two sets to share “parallel” the power. This reduces heat, transfers load more efficiently and keeps the connectors from overheating.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eDomestic Electrics\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis means all your bike accessories are still powered. Some believe that not using the circuit breaker direct to the controller removes the safety of the circuit breaker. However, all our batteries have a full working BMS. Any power shorts or irregular current and the BMS shuts down.  This is much more sensitive and accurate than a mechanical breaker (you may note that the Sur Ron Ultra Bee does not use a circuit breaker and relies on the BMS alone).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFitting\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe supply two sets of high power looms. One goes through the circuit breaker, the other direct to the controller. This allows the controler to be fed “parrallel” power which greatly improves current flow and reduces resistance (heat), essential for extreme power set ups. Both connectors are anti surge high quality qs8 connectors.
