Description

High-specification 12v ignition coil. \n \nFitment - Single spade connector & 2 earth lugs - to fit GY6 and similar motorcycle engines. \n \nThis is a high-quality specification spark ignition coil pack and high-quality specification triple core HT lead, designed to give highly reliable firing speeds and electrical pulses passed to the spark plug for combustion. \n \nTo fit many motorcycles ranging from 50cc to 250cc  (these are designed with GY6 engines in mind but are suitable for many other motorcycles). \n \nEasy to install, No instruction needed! \n \nPlease check the specifications, these will fit most motorcycles, dirt bikes ATVs or pit bikes. \n \nPlease check that your motorcycle has a single pin (spade) connector and a hole eye connector for the earth before purchase. \n \nThis is a direct high quality replacement for your existing coil. \n \nTECHNICAL INFORMATION: \n \nIf you suspect your ignition coil might be faulty and want to test it before ordering a replacement, here's a quick guide: \n \n1. **Primary Coil Test:** \n- Set your multimeter to 200Ω. \n- Touch one test probe to the earth terminal and the other to the live feed terminal. \n- A reading between 3.0 and 5.0 ohms indicates a functioning coil. If the reading is below this range, consider replacing the coil unit. \n \n2. **Spark Connection Continuity: (Spark Connection Continuity)** \n- Set your multimeter to 20KΩ. \n- Touch one test probe to the live (green) terminal and the other to the metal spark plug connection inside the spark plug cap. \n- A reading below 10K ohms indicates a functioning coil. If the reading is above this range, assume the unit is not functioning correctly. \n \nBefore replacing the entire unit, ensure the cable is correctly screwed into both the spark plug cap and the ignition coil unit: \n \n1. Unscrew the lead at both ends by turning it anticlockwise. \n2. Inspect the cable ends and ensure the internal copper core is making good contact with the screws. If not, trim 10mm from each end with wire cutters. \n3. Screw the lead back centrally for a secure connection. \n \nBy following these steps, you can confidently diagnose your ignition coil's condition before making a purchase.
